Why not just use regular pliers to pull a relay?

Regular pliers squeeze the relay's plastic housing from the sides, and in a cramped fuse box that is how housings get cracked. This tool reaches underneath and pulls from the base instead, so the relay you are removing comes out undamaged and reusable.

It is not mandatory, but it is the companion tool for the job. The Drop-In Vehicle Kill Switch installs by swapping your factory starter relay — no wire cutting, fully reversible — and the puller makes that swap clean in a tight fuse box. At $15 it is an easy add to the order.

Yes. The 41.22 lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects covers it, the same policy as our CNC-machined recovery gear. If the tool fails because of a defect rather than abuse, we will replace it. Wear from normal garage use is expected and not a defect.
