Will a kill switch stop a relay attack on my Land Cruiser?

Yes — that’s the core use case. A relay attack tricks the truck into thinking the real fob is present, so it unlocks and tries to start normally. With the 41.22 module armed, the starter circuit is physically open — the engine won’t crank, real fob or relayed one. Toyota’s fob battery-saver mode is a good habit on top, but the kill switch protects you whether or not you remembered to use it.

Does a kill switch stop the CAN injection “headlight hack”?

CAN injection unlocks the doors and defeats the factory immobilizer over the data bus. The kill switch isn’t on that bus — it’s a physical interruption of the starter circuit, so injected messages can’t re-enable it. The thief gets the doors open and still can’t crank the engine. That’s deterrence, not invincibility: the goal is a truck that doesn’t start, so the crew moves on.

Does installing it void my Toyota warranty?

It shouldn’t. Nothing is cut or spliced — the module drops into the existing starter-relay socket, so there’s no permanent modification to point at. And if you ever need to, you can return the vehicle to full OEM stock in just a few minutes by swapping the factory relay back in.
