Will a kill switch stop a relay attack on my Silverado?

It stops the part that costs you a truck: driving away. The cloned-fob relay attack in the 2025 GM lawsuit works in under 30 seconds — but with the 41.22 module in place of the factory starter relay, that cloned signal opens the doors and nothing more. The starter circuit stays physically interrupted until you disarm it.

Does it work if a thief programs a new key through the OBD port?

Yes — that’s the point of attacking the starter circuit instead of the key system. An OBD programmer makes the truck’s computer accept a new key, but a valid key still has to crank the engine through the starter relay. That relay is out of the circuit. Key’s good; truck’s dead.

Does installing it void my GM warranty?

It shouldn’t. Nothing is cut or spliced — the module drops into the existing relay socket, so there’s no permanent modification to point at. And if you ever need to, you can return the truck to full OEM stock in just a few minutes by swapping the factory relay back in.

Should I get the wired or wireless version?

Wireless ($179) is the easiest install we make and lets you disarm from your pocket — it also works with remote start. Wired ($108) is a hidden pushbutton with no batteries to ever think about, and a slightly more involved install. Both kill the same circuit.

Is my Silverado 100% theft-proof with this installed?

No product makes a vehicle theft-proof — a flatbed can tow anything, and a starter bypass won’t stop tailgate theft. A dead starter circuit makes yours a far harder target, so most thieves move on to the easier truck. That’s the whole point.
