Question 1

What is the 41.22 D-Ring used for?

Accepted Answer

It is a billet aluminum recovery shackle for connecting soft shackles, straps, and synthetic rope to a rated recovery point. The large eyelet is machined smooth so it will not fray your soft shackle, and it pairs naturally with the 41.22 Winch Shackle.

Question 2

How much load can the D-Ring handle?

Accepted Answer

It is independently tested to a certified minimum breaking strength of 31,000-plus pounds, with a working load limit of 10,000 pounds. The working load limit is the number that matters in the field — never exceed it, and never side-load the ring.

Question 3

What is the D-Ring made of, and will it rust?

Accepted Answer

It is precision machined from a single billet of aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum in Southern California and finished in Cerakote C-Series ceramic. Aluminum does not rust, and the Cerakote coat resists UV and chemicals, so it holds up to years of trail and weather exposure.

Question 4

What hardware comes with the D-Ring, and what does it mount to?

Accepted Answer

Each D-Ring ships with a hardened 5/8-inch stainless steel pin plus a tool-free quick-disconnect pin. It mounts to rated recovery tabs and points that accept a 5/8-inch pin. Check your bumper or recovery point's pin-hole size and rating before ordering.

Question 5

Are there usage rules for the D-Ring I should know?

Accepted Answer

Three hard rules. Use it with soft shackles, straps, and rope only. Pull straight only — never side-load it. Never exceed the 10,000-pound working load limit. Follow those and the smooth-machined eyelet will treat your synthetic gear gently for years of recoveries.

Question 6

How fast does the D-Ring ship?

Accepted Answer

Lead time is about 3 to 4 business days. At $95 each, a single D-Ring qualifies for free US shipping over $90. We ship internationally as well.

Question 7

What if the D-Ring does not fit my recovery points?

Accepted Answer

Return it within 30 days; a 20 percent restocking fee may apply. The easiest way to avoid that fee is to confirm your recovery tabs accept a 5/8-inch pin before you order. Defective or wrong items are handled directly — just contact us.

Question 8

Does the D-Ring have a warranty?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Like every part 41.22 machines, it carries a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Finish wear from normal recovery use is expected and not covered, but if a D-Ring ever fails due to a defect in materials or machining, we will make it right.
